Gifted Producers reported today that they will be booting Gina Torres' character, "Melanie Brown" from the reboot!
Here's what writer/creator, Chris Davis had to say,
"Gina Torres is an outstanding actress and in the original series, she played her character amazingly. But, the reboots overall story has changed and I just don't she Gina's character being in it as part of the main cast..."

In other, Gifted related news, producers announced that Gifted's season One big bad, "HYBRID" will be played by none other than Jesse Metcalfe who was original cast for one episode of the original series.
