This is a curiousity/question about season 4 of Angel so if you haven't seen it, back up!
I was really confused when Jasmine, while in Cordelia's body, was an evil being, killed Lilah, had servants like The Beast, and Skip, killed a bunch of innocent people, and let Angelus out of his cage. I was confused because when Jasmine gave birth to herself through Cordelia's body, as Jasmine, she was pure and nice and wanted to end all evil, sure she ate people but she wanted good in the world, I guess you could say she wasn't good or evil, I'm leaning a little more towards good when she is alive. But while in Cordelia she's heaps evil. I don't get that AT all. Anybody else majorly confuzzled?

The way I saw it was simply that "The writers stuffed up big time". Charisma Carpenter fell pregnant towards the hiatus break of s3 and 4. She kept it a secret for quite some time, up towards "Spin the Bottle" before announcing her pregnancy (breaking contract) and so the writers were to change the whole story of their season to match up to her so-called "mistake" of not telling them sooner. Which I think was a smart idea. That's how they introduced Jasmine and all that, before FIRING Charisma Carpenter. So I give props to the writers.
On topic: It never crossed my mind. I guess I don't view Jasmine the same way you do. I see her as someone who wants peace in the world, no matter who dies in the process. Or did you forget her eating people? lol. I think she's never been pure, nice, and all that. When she first was introduced I thought the rest of the season would be crap. But I liked it. Overall. I think when she was in Cordelia's body, she was desperate to give birth to herself, come forth, and view the world as she desired too. Being trapped in such a hot ... err ... uh... I mean human body was slowly torturing, because of the humanity left in Cordy, before it was eventually drained.
