Below is an interview between VpToday and Chris Davis, talking about his all-new series GIFTED and his other upcoming projects, believed to begin shooting after the completion of Gifted's first season. Read the article below:

VPN: First question: So, the premiere of GIFTED sure caught a lot of hungry viewers, who were satisfied with the two-parter episodes. Now that people have got a bit of a taste of the characters, plot and feel of the show, are you less nervous than you were starting it?
Davis: Um...not at all. I think the reason why I was so nervous before the show aired was because I didn't think people would be able to read a Charmed spin-off that nothing to do with the actually Charmed line. But, then as we are headed into episode 4, I am quite nervous about peoples reactions to the drastic change of the storyline coming in the next few episodes. It's like you read one series but then, so quickly, it's like a whole new thing and I don't know how people will take that.
VPN: What can we fans expect to happen before the mid-season break? Any major turning points?
Davis: Well, I can't reveal to much but, before the mid-season finale, you will get to see a little bit of Melanie's past as a working whitelighter and the reason for why her wings were clipped. You will also be wowed by the mid-season finale which will give you a huge turning point!
VPN: Without revealing too much, will we be seeing any more guest stars from the original Charmed series, as we did Rose McGowan?
Davis: Well, Simon Templeman, who played the Angel of Death in the Charmed series will be coming to Gifted for an episode or two this season. Besides him, no.
VPN: Wow! Simon Templeman's performance on Charmed as the Angel of Death is amazing; I'm sure he'll bring a lot to the table for Gifted. As you said earlier, the fourth episode will have a drastic change; making it seem like a completely different show. Do you find yourself limited to how much you can do with a charmed spin off before jumping the shark? Or making the feel of it being a charmed spin off disappear?
Davis: I still believe there are limitless possibilities for Gifted. Yes, the shows plot will change but the overall feel of the show will remain very Charmed like. I think the change will expand the storyline, not limit it.
VPN: That's great. It's good to have a show that you can do so much with, and like you've said, Gifted is one of them. How about your other projects. Anything you're currently working on the side, or plan to air on the VPN?
Davis: Well, I am working on a film called "Apocalypse", which will star Amy Acker, Alyson Hannigan, and Sarah Michelle Gellar, which is mainly a Buffy/Angel alternate universe story... but that project hasn't even begun shooting yet. Besides that, I am writing a spin-off of "Smallville" called Trinity. It's basically about the life of Lana Lang as she deals with her new powers. As she goes to a town called Trinity she meets new friends and begins to destiny as a hero. I will begin shooting "Trinity" when Gifted's first season is complete.
VPN: They both sound very interesting. I for one would love to see a showdown between, Buffy, Willow, and Illyria. In your Trinity series, can we expect any other characters from the show "Smallville" to be in it, as a regular. And will you be adding any other characters from DC COMICS mythology into it. Or will Lana Lang be accompanied by newer characters, from your own creation?
Davis: I plan on having at least 1 character from Smallville's cast to join Kristen in "Trinity". I'm heading towards Allison Mack as "Chloe Sullivan" but I guess I have to wait for season 9 of Smallville to air before I can make a final decision on that. Oliver Queen/The Green Arrow will be in the series. I'm not sure if he will be in the main cast or just a recurring character.
VPN: Allison Mack and Kristen Kreuk back on the small screen together is definatelly a plus. Well, it's been nice catching up, will definately have more questions about GIFTED during the 3-4 break after the mid-season finale. Thanks for scheduling in an interview, and we hope to hear from you again soon.
Davis: It's been my pleasure! Talk to you all soon!
VPN: Don't forget to catch the fourth episode of GIFTED this monday, guest starring the very talented Anthony Stewart Head, best known for his role as Giles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
